ল্যাপটপের সাধারণ যত্নআত্তি

 ল্যাপটপ ব্যবহারের সময় সতর্ক থাকতে হবে যেন কোনোভাবেই এটি হাত থেকে মাটিতে বা শক্ত কোনো স্থানে পড়ে না যায়। কেননা একটু বাড়তি চাপ লাগলেই ব্যাপকভাবে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে ল্যাপটপের এলসিডি মনিটর। আর এক্ষেত্রে কোনো রকম বিক্রয়োত্তর সেবাও পাওয়া যাবে না। লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে, ল্যাপটপের ওপর ভারী কিছুর চাপ যেন না পড়ে।
  এলসিডি মনিটরে ধুলা জমলে বা ময়লা হলে পাতলা সুতি কাপড় দিয়ে মুছে দিতে পারেন। শক্ত কোনো কাপড় ব্যবহার না করাই ভালো।
  যারা ল্যাপটপে মাউস ব্যবহার করেন, তারা অনেক সময় মনের ভুলে কি-বোর্ডের ওপর মাউস রেখেই ল্যাপটপ বন্ধ করে দিতে যান। এক্ষেত্রে ল্যাপটপের পর্দায় চাপ পড়লে তা মুহূর্তেই অকার্যকর হয়ে যেতে পারে।
  ল্যাপটপ ব্যবহারের সময় লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে এর পেছনে ভেতরের গরম বাতাস বের করার জন্য যে পাখাটি কাজ করে, তার সামনে যেন কোনো বাধা না থাকে।
  ল্যাপটপ কেনার পরপরই ব্যবহার করার আগে কমপক্ষে আট ঘণ্টা নিরবচ্ছিন্নভাবে চার্জ দিতে হবে। এর ব্যতিক্রম হলে সাধারণত ব্যাটারি পরে আর কোনো সময়েই তার পূর্ণ ক্ষমতা ব্যবহার করতে পারবে না।
  শুধু ব্যাটারির সাহায্যে (বৈদ্যুতিক সংযোগ না থাকা অবস্থায়) ল্যাপটপ ব্যবহারের সময় পাঁচ থেকে ১০ শতাংশ চার্জ বাকি থাকতেই বন্ধ করা ভালো।
ল্যাপটপের কি-বোর্ড তরলনিরোধ (স্পিলপ্রুফ) না হলে ব্যবহারের সময় যাতে কি-বোর্ডে কোনো তরল পদার্থ না পড়ে, সেদিকে লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে।
  ল্যাপটপে সব সময় অ্যান্টিভাইরাস সফটওয়্যার ব্যবহার করতে হবে এবং তা নিয়মিত হালনাগাদ করতে হবে।
  পেনড্রাইভ, বহনযোগ্য হার্ডডিস্ক ড্রাইভ, মেমোরি কার্ড ইত্যাদি ব্যবহারের আগে অ্যান্টিভাইরাস দিয়ে পরীক্ষা (স্ক্যান) ও পরিষ্কার (ক্লিন) করে নিতে হবে।
  ল্যাপটপের সঙ্গে সাধারণত নিবন্ধিত (লাইসেন্স) অপারেটিং সিস্টেম পাওয়া যায়। অপারেটিং সিস্টেমটি মাঝেমধ্যে হালনাগাদ করা উচিত।
